ESCROW & PAYMENTS

1

STEP 1: WHAT IS ESCROW?

Escrow means RKN holds the buyer's payment as a neutral third party until both sides have done their part. It protects buyer and seller on every deal.

  • Neutral third-party fund holding
  • Buyer pays, seller ships, then funds release
  • Both sides protected against bad actors

STEP 2: HOW ESCROW WORKS STEP-BY-STEP

From buyer checkout to seller payout, every transaction follows the same six steps.

    1. Buyer clicks 'Buy Now' and pays
    1. Payment held in RKN escrow
    1. Seller ships within 3 days
    1. Buyer receives and inspects
    1. Buyer confirms (or 3-day window expires)
    1. Funds release to seller's Stripe account

STEP 3: ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS

RKN accepts all major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout. All payments are processed by Stripe.

  • All major credit/debit cards
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1) - card data never stored

STEP 4: DISPUTE PROCESS

If a part doesn't match the listing or doesn't arrive, the buyer opens a dispute from the order page within 48 hours of delivery. Decisions take 3 business days.

  • Open from the order page
  • Within 48 hours of delivery
  • Decided within 3 business days

STEP 5: REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Before the seller ships, the buyer can cancel for a full refund. After shipping, refunds are decided through the dispute process.

  • Pre-ship cancellation: full refund
  • Post-ship: dispute process
  • Some sellers offer no-questions returns
